This is a compact, clumping perennial grass with broad arching leaves and showy, mauve-purple feathery flowers through the warmer months. Ornamental grasses are excellent for adding texture and interest to your garden. This grass is frost tolerant and tolerates windy conditions and salt laden winds. Grow in full sun in well drained soil. Height around 50cm.
 
Excellent for floral arrangements and dried flowers arrangements. 
 
These are very easy to grow from seed.  For this reason deadhead flowers if you don't want it to spread.  Having said this, I haven't had an issue with it spreading in my garden.  Sow seeds as soon as they are ready.  Gently press seeds into pots containing quality potting mix.  Lightly cover with soil.  Water and keep damp but not wet. Seedlings will appear when the weather warms up.  Plant out when seedlings are around 10cm high.
