15 open pollinated seeds from our gardens.

A must have in every garden. Libertia grandiflora is a clump forming rhizomatous perennial that is open and airy, adding drama and structure to the garden. Long stiff flower stems bearing clusters of small white flowers appear in summer. This is an easy to grow plant that requires full sun and well drained soil.  Grows to 90cm x 60cm.

Sow seeds in autumn.  Note that seeds need a cold spell to break germination.  If in warmer area, seeds can be placed in the fridge for 6 weeks before sowing.  I sowed my seeds direct but you can sow seeds into pots and transplant.  Seeds can take up to 6 months to germinate.

Sadly this flower does not last more than one day in a vase before dropping flowers.  Seed pods however can be used in floral arrangements.
